The Faith Formation students of The Churches of St. Joseph & St. Stephen the King recently hosted a winter carnival. The event was open to all children. In lieu of an admission charge, carnival-goers were asked to donate new or gently-used winter gear (i.e., coats, boots, hats, gloves). The response was amazing; over 150 people attended the event! In turn, the winter clothing was given to Services to Aid Families (SAF), here in Oswego.

The three-hour event showcased a bounce house, bingo, face painting, plinko, fried dough, popcorn, and hot chocolate. In October, the older students decided to host the carnival to fulfill a Confirmation community service requirement. The event's overwhelming success demands a repeat next January, again on Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 16. It promises to be bigger and "funner!"
